2007 AASRC Conference Pingtung, November, 2007 Application of a Micro Reciprocating-Electromagnet Pump in Liquid Cooling System Abstract In the project of the Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR), the performance of a micro-reciprocating pump developed by Loopek Technology Company is investigated. The pump is electromagnetic, the working fluid will be driven by the magnetic material constrained inside the chamber. The mass flow rate of the working fluid can be controlled by the duty cycle, the frequency, and the electric voltage. The experimental study includes the performance test of a liquid-cooling system with and without heat of the test source. The maximum mass flow rate is 170ml/min when the voltage is 5V, the duty cycle is 85%, and the frequency is 50Hz. Keywords:electromagnetic pump,liquid cooling. |
